Introduction

On 07/01/1955, Gram Panchayat Kothali Khurd, Taluka Nandurbar, District Dhule was established. After that, on 1 July 1998, Dhule district was divided and Nandurbar district was newly formed. On 1 July 1998, Gram Panchayat Kothali Khurd, Taluka Nandurbar, District Nandurbar came into existence.

According to the six tehsils of the district: Akkalkuwa, Dhadgaon, Taloda, Shahada, Nandurbar and Navapur, six Panchayat Samiti are functioning at the tehsil headquarters under the Zilla Parishad.

The Gram Panchayat Kothali Khurd falls under the Nandurbar Panchayat Samiti in the district of Nandurbar. The area under the jurisdiction of Gram Panchayat Kothali Khurd is predominantly tribal. Also, the work of improving the lives of the people in the rural areas and providing health and basic facilities under the auspices of the Various Rural Development Department - Maharashtra State is going on continuously with the cooperation of the people's representatives.
